Bettendorf Trucking, established by Erv Bettendorf in 1961, started with one truck, hauling shavings to the particleboard plant now operating as Humboldt Flakeboard in Arcata, Calif. Within a year an additional employee was on board, and the beginnings of a chip hauling enterprise was taking shape.

By 1967 Erv was hauling chips to local pulp mills, and by 1972 Bettendorf Trucking was servicing several local sawmills. In 1977 our Central Valley division was established to accommodate clients in the Redding, Calif. area. This division in now located in Anderson, Calif. 1979 saw the establishment of our White City, Oregon division, and since that time we have started up satellite divisions in Klamath Falls, Albany, and Roseburg OR, as well as our Sierra division, located in Lincoln, Calif.

Currently Bettendorf Trucking hosts a fleet of 145 trucks and 338 trailers. We have many employees working as drivers, mechanics, and office staff. Bettendorf Trucking is also associated with Joe Costa Trucking of Arcata Calif. hosting a fleet of 57 trucks and 113 trailers, which also hauls chips and general freight throughout Calif. and Oregon.
